FG Holds Trade and Skills Acquisition Training for 1,650 Youths in Oyo

The Minister of Youth and Sports in partnership with the NDE is currently training about 1,650 youth in various vocational skills from across Oyo state.

The training which began about two weeks ago is aimed at uplifting the living standard of the youth in easing poverty and unemployment in the state and country at large especially among the teeming youth.

Participants for the training were drawn from the 33 local government areas of the state and are being trained in 4 Centres. Ogbomosho, Kishi, ibadan and Oyo.

The skills acquisition training comes under the Basic National Open Apprenticeship program under the supervision of NDE in oyo state.
Some of the areas the trainees will undergo include ICT, fashion design, real estate management, interior decoration etc .

The minister reiterated his commitment and determination to attract more beneficial projects to the youth and people of oyo state and Nigeria at large.

The training is for 3months(Intensive) and is free. Certificates will be issued to them and in some cases starter Packs.
