CORONAVIRUS: Bodija Suspect Tested Positive, Says Makinde

Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital has recorded the first positive case of Covid-19 popularly called coronavirus.

This is contained in a twit by Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde at the early hours of Sunday Morning.

Oyomind.com.ng recalled that a suspected returnee was placed under isolation for days while the government waited for the laboratory result.

According to the governor, the result was released at 17:35pm of March 21, 2020.

He said “The Covid-19 confirmation test for the suspected case at Bodija has come back POSITIVE. The rest was released at 17:35PM of March 21, 2020.

“Oyo State Public Officials are collaborating with the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan’s team on the case.”

Everyone is hereby enjoined to stay safe, adhere to social distancing and stay indoor if there is no need to go out.
