BREAKING: College of Education, Lanlate Proscribes Students Union, Suspends Staff Union, Closes Institution

The Governing Council of College of Education, Lanlate has shut down the institution over the recent agitation by the students on allegations related to extortion and unkept academic environment.

At an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, 10th November 2020 the school governing council unanimously approved that academic activities in the college are suspended and students are to vacate the college with immediate effect.

According to the memorandum released by College Registrar, R.O. Opadeji, Students Union activities, and staff union activities were respectively prescribed and suspended until further notice.

The decision of the governing council reads thus:

GOVERNING COUNCIL DECISION

Arising from it’s an emergency meeting of the 10th November 2020, Governing Council of the College of Education, Lanlate hereby directs as follows:

1. All academics activities in the college are suspended with immediate effect.
2. Student union activities are hereby prohibited.
3. Students are to vacate the college with immediate effect.
4. Staff union activities are suspended until further notice.
