No less than seven personalities from Oyo State have been named by the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committe (CECPC) as members of the sub-committees for the forthcoming convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
OYOMIND recalls that the convention scheduled to hold on 26th March 2022 was earlier slated for 26th February 2022 by the CECPC.
According to a document signed by the National Secretary of the CECPC, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe Ph.D., most of the sub-committees are headed by state governors.
The sub-committees include, Screening Committee, Election Committee, Digital Communication, Finance, Budget, Medical, Legal, Accreditation, Media/publicity, security/protocol, accommodation, transportation/logistics amongst others.
Personalities from Oyo State who made the list are; Chairman Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, Former Head of Service, Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan, Oyo South Senatorial Women Leader, Mrs. Fatima Titilayo Hassan who are to serve in Election committee, Accommodation committee, and screening committee respectively.
Other include, Honourable Tolulope Akande Sadipe, (Accreditation of volunteers/diplomatcs/diaspora/observers committee), Niyi Akintola SAN (Legal committee) Professor Taoheed Adedoja (Accreditation committee) and Honourable Wale Olatunji Murphy (election committee).
A member of the central planning committee and honourable representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon Akinremi Olaide was earlier appointed as the Chairman, Southwest APC Zonal Convention slated for 12th March, 2022.
