Charity they say begins at home, so is the tales of one of the offspring’s of the Egunjemi family of the ita Akinloye Oje, of Ibadan North East Area of Ibadan. The family patriarch, Chief Augustus Meredith Adisa Akinloye, popularly known as A.M.A, was a lawyer, politician, a successful business man and the Seriki of Ibadanland and a known philanthropist.
It wasn’t a surprise to one see his offspring resiliency in filling the holes left. Akinloye, Roger Abdulrazaq Abiola, a graduate of University of Lagos and master’s degree holder in civil engineering from University of Ibadan, an architect with over 10 years management experience in the private sector, a business man into large scale distribution, real estate and development in his 30s constantly doing his little for the betterment of the people of Ibadan North East.
Last Wednesday, 25th of May, 2021. In company of the PDP party chairman of Ward 12, Buli Jakiru and Local government PDP party chairman Ishiak Abuye, few community leaders, Baba Adigun, Alhaji Muda as he fulfils one of his many donations to the community by donating cash for the reconstruction and expansion of the Lamini Central Mosque in Agugu Ward 12 a mosque that sits at the heart of the Arisekola mother’ family compound, one would expect him to focus more on his ward (ward10), but promises to share his benevolence across the local government.
Delivering his opening speech at the event, Abdularasaq promised to continue contributing to the development of Ibadan North East and Oyo State with his our quarter, he has overtime been a steadfast giver to community youths and elders, some of which were clothes & food distribution and a yearly first Sunday of the year celebration for the community, a legacy he took after from his grandfather as he plans to continue supporting his people for a good number of years to come.
