Ibadan-born global technocrat and philantropist, Orikolade Karim who is the Agbaoye of Ibadan land and his wife Funke Karim, the Yeye Agbaoye of Ibadan land (a descendant of Oyo monarchy, great grand daughter of Princess Adetutu Adeyemi) have congratulated His Imperial Majesty Oba Atanda Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III on his 51st year of coronation as the 45th Alaafin of Oyo kingdom.
Agbaoye and his wife in a congratulatory message, described the monarch as a father, a pacesetter and statesman whose reign for decades has yielded overwhelming development, peace and breakthrough for Yoruba sons and daughters globally.
The statement reads, “Baba’s tremendous effort and wise counselling in 51 years of reign over his subjects records overwhelming development and better positioning of sons and daughters of Yoruba race globally
“Iku Baba Yeye, Alase Ikeji Orisa, Oba tin fi Oba je, we wish Baba many more healthy years on the throne, and long live the Kingdom of Oyo” the statement concluded.
