Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka conquered the world as a poet, novelist, essayist and playwright in English lexicon.
In a statement released by the National Headquarters of the Yoruba Socio-cultural group, through the National President, Otunba Femi Awogboro, Prof Soyinka is hailed as a trailblazer in the field of comparative literature ,whose numerous literary works, are globally applauded and recognized , judging by the cornucopia of awards and citations across spectrum of academia in all the seven continents of the world..
