LMC Writes Makinde, Review Babatunde’s Appointment As 3SC’s Sole Administrator

The League Management Company, LMC has written to the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to review the appointment of Babatunde Olaniyan, the newly sole administrator of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Football Club.

In the letter Signed by the Administrator of the Nigerian Professional Football League to the Secretary of the Oyo State Government and Football Association explained the complication attached to the “residual powers and responsibilities relating to the administration of the club will be vested in a single individual, instead of a constituted board of directors”.

The Regulating body furthered that, “the appointment is at variance with the provisions of Article 12 of the NFF Club Licensing Regulations, and runs afoul of the contemplation of Rule A6 of the Framework and rules of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The LMC further nullified the appointment and “will not be acknowledged by the League Management Company (LMC). It thetefore, advised that this appointment be reviewed to ensure compliance with the provisions of extant football regulations.

Recall that, Babatunde Olaniyan was appointed following the death of the General Manager, Rasheed Lawal in January.
