The Oyo State chapter of the City Boy Movement has called on youths, supporters, and eligible Nigerians to participate actively in the forthcoming third and final phase of the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise scheduled to commence on Monday, May 11, 2026.
In a statement issued on behalf of the movement in Oyo State, the State Coordinator stressed the importance of civic participation, describing voter registration as a critical step toward nation building, good governance, and sustainable development.
The coordinator urged Nigerian youths to rise above political apathy and become actively involved in shaping the country’s future through democratic participation and civic responsibility.
According to the statement, obtaining a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) goes beyond a constitutional obligation and represents a commitment to building a better Nigeria.
“The future of Nigeria depends on our participation. Every patriotic citizen has a responsibility to contribute positively to the democratic growth of our nation. Obtaining a Permanent Voter’s Card is not just a civic duty, but a commitment to the future we all desire,” the statement read.
The movement also encouraged young Nigerians who recently attained voting age, as well as citizens who were unable to register during previous phases of the exercise, to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission during the final phase of the registration process.
Reaffirming its commitment to youth mobilization and political consciousness, the City Boy Movement said it would continue to promote political awareness, leadership development, capacity building, and national unity across Oyo State.
The coordinator further urged members and supporters of the movement to remain peaceful, united, and committed to democratic principles throughout the exercise.
