Former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Barrister Sarafadeen Alli has emerged the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Oyo South Senatorial District in Oyo state at the rerun election held on Tuesday, 31st May 2022.
OYOMIND gathered that the first senatorial election in Oyo south was canceled due to overvoting about 20% of the total vote cast noticed after the election.
Alli, defeated Late governor Abiola Ajimobi’s in law, Kolapo Kola Daisi, former finance commissioner of finance, Bimbo Adekanmbi, and the incumbent, Senator Kola Balogun.
The votes cast according to the aspirants are as follows: Sarafadeen Ali- 185, Kolapo Kola Daisi- 145, Kola Balogun- 84, Bimbo Adekanmbi- 72, and Kareem Ayo- 01.
