The management of the University of Ibadan has reacted to purported news that the certificates of the 2022 MB;BS and Dentistry graduates are not available.
In a statement made available to the press by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, G.O. Waliu, the University debunked the rumor that it refuses to give the graduates their certificates, saying that it was due to technical issues.
According Saliu, the certificates of the affected graduates are now ready for collection.
“The attention of the University of Ibadan Management was drawn to an online report that went viral.
“Management hereby states that it did not refuse to give the graduates of Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry their certificates but had technical issues in getting the certificates ready. Concerted efforts were made to redeem the situation while the management reached out to the licencing boards to plead on behalf of the graduates.
“Management is pleased to inform the affected graduates that the certificates are now ready for collection.
“Management assures its teeming graduates that the University of Ibadan would never impede their progress.
“Management appreciates the cooperation of the licencing board and the concern of all stakeholders.“
