Executive Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports and the former commissioner for youth and sports in Oyo State, Hon. Seun Fakorede hosted the first of its kind Creative Industry mixer in the state.
This event is to bring together all the creatives in Oyo State to brainstorm and learn from each other.
The event witnessed over 3,000 participants at the New Culture Studio Mokola, Ibadan.
Among the personalities who graced the August event, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private and public sectors to support young creatives in Oyo State.
“I am looking forward to a collaboration between the private and public sectors, aligning with what the private sector has to offer to the young creatives in Oyo State, and assisting in pushing their agenda forward,” Ogundoyin stated.
He also shared his personal commitment to supporting the creative industry, drawing on his experience as a former executive in the music industry. Ogundoyin noted that he was involved in the development of several notable artists, including Dremo and music producer Fresh, before transitioning into agriculture and politics.
The event underscored the government’s commitment to fostering a vibrant creative sector and providing opportunities for young talents in Oyo state.
