Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State have adopted Olojede Victor Dideoluwa as the party’s consensus candidate for the Akinyele Constituency II seat.
The decision was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting held within the local government, where party leaders and key figures unanimously backed Olojede, who currently serves as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Student Matters.
According to meeting sources, the endorsement followed extensive consultations among party stakeholders, who pointed to Olojede’s grassroots connections, political experience, and track record in youth and student engagement as decisive factors.
The stakeholders expressed confidence that his candidacy would boost the PDP’s prospects in the constituency, noting that consensus arrangements remain a strategic tool for ensuring party unity and electoral success.
In his response, Olojede thanked party leaders for their trust and pledged to justify the confidence by working diligently to represent the people of Akinyele Constituency II if elected.
The endorsement marks a key milestone in the party’s election preparations as the PDP continues to strengthen its grassroots structures across Oyo State.
