A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and Gubernatorial Hopeful, Joseph Tegbe joined other eminent personalities at the 40 Days Fidau for the 20th Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba (Dr) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III.
Tegbe, who attend the event held on Saturday 22nd January 2022 was accompanied by Oloye Akinade Fijabi, Hon Jide Adewale, Hon Yinka Akinbode Alhaji Remi Ladotun, Hon Olaolu Sangotoye, Hon Isaac Adegbite, Hon Hafiz Oladejo, among others
The event held at the historic Aafin Ogbomosho, attracted the presence of traditional leaders, religious elders, politicians across political divides including the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde and the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Sunday Dare; Senator Soji Akanbi, Chief Bayo Adelabu, Hon Zacch Adelabu, Chief Akin Oke, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan, Hon Justice Funmi Asaolu, Hon Saheed Fijabi, Hon. Yomi Oke and a host of others.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Ogbomoso Consultative Council, Chief Saka Balogun eulogized the late Soun, affirming that Ogbomosho witnessed tremendous growth during his reign.
Prince Oyewumi Aderemi gave a vote of thanks to appreciate attendees from far and wide, and guests were treated to a performance of Ewi and drums, while the legendary King Sunny Ade was on the band stand.
In a related development, Tegbe and his entourage paid a courtesy call to the country home of Senator Ayo Adeseun, who represented Oyo Central Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015. The APC leader expressed his delight at hosting the Gubernatorial hopeful and wished him well on his aspiration.
