The African Action Congress (AAC), Oyo State Chapter, has made a resounding call to the people of Oyo State, urging them to support the only party dedicated to serving the masses in the upcoming Local Government (LG) elections.

Addressing the press on Saturday, Kayode Babayomi, Oyo State Chair of AAC, emphasized the critical importance of the local elections, stating, “The Local Government is meant to be the closest government to the people.” He criticized other political parties for undermining the grassroots by imposing their lackeys and hindering development at the local level.

“Our party is two bare hands showing that it is by our own deeds and work that we can build a new Oyo, Nigeria, and Africa. Rise up, Oyo! It is time to vote for the party that will put the people and humanity first!!” Babayomi added.

Babayomi highlighted AAC’s commitment to the people, noting that their candidates were carefully selected based on their closeness to the grassroots and their dedication to serving the community. He lamented the suffering of Nigerians under the governance of billionaire parties like APC, PDP, and LP, emphasizing the need for a change in leadership.

Femi Adeleye, the National Publicity Secretary of AAC, also echoed Babayomi’s sentiments, emphasizing the party’s readiness for the elections. He asserted, “It is glaring and very obvious that we are the most prepared and organized party,” rejecting any plans for violence and emphasizing their candidates’ blueprints for development.

Also speaking on the issues regarding Police and OYSEIC, Adeleye said: “It is unfortunate today that the voters are not the ones that actually determine the election in Nigeria; it is the incumbent, the police, and the election body that determine. We hope that it will be different this time around. We are not going to put our eyes on the judiciary, but on these persons that I mentioned.”

Adeleye expressed concern over the role of incumbents, police, and election bodies in determining election outcomes, calling for transparency and fairness. He urged voters to rally behind AAC, the party of the oppressed, and called on security agencies to refrain from disrupting the electoral process.

Meanwhile, the AAC called on the people of Oyo State to rise up and vote for change, pledging to prioritize the needs of the people and work towards building a better future for Oyo, Nigeria, and Africa.
