The Federation of Oyo State Students Union, (FOSSU), National Council inaugurated the newly elected executives ably led by Alarape Ibrahim on Wednesday, 22 June 20222.
The Inauguration which was held at the Western Hall, Oyo State House of Assembly, Agodi, Ibadan had in attendance, a former Senator representing Oyo Central, Senator Monsura Sumonu, SA Students to Oyo state governor on Students, Victor Olojede, among others.
The 2022 National Council inauguration of the Restoration Team with the Theme: The Emergence of a New FOSSU: Connecting the Dots of Essence and Value. The Guest Speaker, Prince Adetayo Adekunle hammered on the need to redevelop and rebirth student unionism to further birth new national leadership.
He also encouraged the new leadership of the Oyo State Students led by Alarape Ibrahim to further be supportive of the government’s administration as well as to shun any form of cultism and abuse of power.
Victor Olojede, Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on student matters during his speech said thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his support to the students of Oyo State, saying that his administration has done so well in embracing the youth and giving them a space in his administration.
Victor Olojede urged the students that the best way to give back to Governor Seyi Makinde is to come out en mass in 2023 and Vote him in for a second term.
