Following the commencement of Oral interview for intending teachers in th state, the Chairman of TESCOM, Pastor Akin Alamu, has stated in an interview that intending teachers into the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission may receive their appointment letters before the end of this year
According to him, the commission is working tirelessly to ensure credible teachers are employed to add more value into the education sector of the state.
He reiterated that there won’t be chance for any candidate who score below 50 or missed the Computer Based Test to partake in the oral interview, disclosing that out of thousands of applicants who applied for Teaching job, only 900 candidates were qualified for the job.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Administration, Reverend Idowu Ogedengbe, described the exercise as a step towards improving the standard of education in the state.
The Permanent Secretary of TESCOM, Mrs Grace Oderinde and Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers Oyo state, Comrade Samson Adedoyin, commended the employment process, stressing that the oral interview became necessary so as to rejig the education system of the state.
