The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Seun Fakorede hosted Influencers and Stakeholders in Oyo State Media industry ranging from Instagram, Twitter and blogs.
At the meeting tagged, “The Oyo State Social Media Influencers Stakeholders Meeting”, was held at the Office of the Commissioner for youth and sports to discuss the “growth and progress of our dear state”.
Fakorede, while addressing the Media Enthusiasts, expressed a deep concerns about the publicity the state was receiving and the need for cooperation and up to date record keeping .
Speaking on the 100 Most Influential Young Persons In Oyo State explained that, “The youths of Oyo state must be celebrated.
While addressing the concerns of participants, about the existing awards structure for Ibadan influentials, Fakorede said, “Government has no business with doing business, it is the functions of the government to recognize people”.
On the “need for the inclusiveness of other parts of the states, they will included and it will be credible as humanly possible”, Fakorede explained.
He also admonished the participants of the stakeholders meeting to acts as Checks and balances to the Ministry. “In as much as we can hold ourselves responsible to our promises, I will love us to acts as watchdogs to various promises made”.
