Senator Ajayi Boroffice Facilitates Atmospheric Physics Laboratory to UI

The Senate Deputy Majority Leader, Senator (Professor) Robert Ajayi Boroffice has facilitated the construction of an Atmospheric Physics Laboratory to the faculty of science, University of Ibadan.

In a letter dated 3rd October, 2020, Boroffice acknowledged the visitation of the University Management Team Advocacy to the National Assembly in 2019 which formed the part of the team strategy to reach out to the University Alumni.

According to him, the management team was commended for conceiving the reach out strategy to recognize its Alumni worldwide saying that it would go a long way in attracting varieties of infrastructure to their Alma mater.

“As part of your reach-out strategy, your management team visited the office of the Deputy majority leader of Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In your deliberation, in our office, the leader promised to endow the university with an Atmospheric Laboratory Building in the Faculty of Science.

“I am very glad to inform you that the contract for the project jas now been awarded by Centre for Atmospheric Research of National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Abuja to MEDSRS FORTIFIED CITY TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED” he said.

He further stressed that the contractor is ready and willing to proceed to site as soon as the space is provided to commence the project while he urged the management to render maximum cooperation.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Idowu Olayinka while reacting to the facilitation of the facility appreciated the alumnus on behalf of the staff and students for giving back to his alma mater.

“Our staff and students will find this facility very useful for teaching and research. We cannot thank Asiwaju Borrofice enough for coming to our aid in this manner”.
