A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and an ally of Governor Makinde, Benedict Akika was reported to have been kidnapped by gunmen in his house.
Akika was said to have been kidnapped at his Olorunda residence in the Lagelu Local Government Area of the state.
Investigations by ThepageNG revealed that the gunmen, who were armed to the teeth, invaded his residence and threatened to shoot any of the occupants who might put up resistance.
After careful investigations, a source who craved anonymity told ThepageNg that Benedict Akika was kidnapped because of a transaction that he made with some set of people that the source can not identify.
The source also told Thepage.ng reporter that Benedict was carted away to Lagos in an unidentified area which no one knows.
