Not less that 150 women were empowered at the first event of Taoreed Lawal Foundation in Ibadan, South West region of Nigeria. This was done as a part of the efforts to make women in the community self reliant.

In a statement made available to OYOMIND, Founder Taoreed LAWAL, said he needed to visit and empower his people especially during the fasting period. Though he has been doing a lot of philanthropic activities outside Oyo State, he felt the need to come back home. As the popular saying goes, Charity begins at home. He thanked everyone for coming for the empowerment and also promised to do a lot more.

He also said this is the first stage of the empowerment as there are more activities that will be carried out by the foundation which includes Food bank, Back to School for the children, Market women empowerment and the Ramadan Lecture. As we are in the period of fasting, the Ramadan Lecture will hold on Wednesday the 5th of May 2021 at Abbey Technical College, New garage in Ibadan.

Also present was ALGON Chairman, Prince Abass ALESHINLOYE, his Secetary, Hon. Dotun, Hon. Tosin Peller amongst many other dignitaries.
