Alhaja Chief Mrs Bolade Aderibigbe, the esteemed Iyalode Adeen of Ile Yoruba, marked her 80th birthday in a heartwarming and compassionate manner by visiting three Orphanage homes in Ibadan.
The celebration began at Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) Orphanage Homes. Iyalode Adeen’s visit to this home was significant, as it demonstrated her commitment to inclusivity and her support for children from diverse backgrounds.
Next on the list was Oluyole Cheshire Homes, located on Sango Eleyele Road. The Iyalode Adeen graced the home with her presence and spent quality time with the children residing there. The joyous occasion saw the children’s faces light up with smiles as they interacted with the esteemed guest.
The Iyalode spent time engaging with the children, spreading happiness, and leaving a lasting impression on their hearts.
The last stop of her benevolent journey was at Ibadan Home For Motherless Babies The matron of the orphanage, Mrs Remi Odeyemi, in her commendation speech, shared a heartwarming anecdote, highlighting Iyalode Adeen’s kindness. She recounted how the Iyalode had played a pivotal role in supporting the orphanage during its early days, by organising a trip to Lagos to procure food for the less privileged children. Her act of kindness left an indelible impact on the lives of those under the orphanage’s care.
The charitable event was attended by esteemed dignitaries and prominent personalities from the community. Among the dignitaries present were Alhaji Mudashir Bada, Chairman of the committee organizing the celebration, Chief Imam Oluyole, who offered prayers for the celebrant and the welfare of the orphanages, Mogaji Isnaheel Akintoye, Alhaja BB Olosho, Alhaja Barr Makanjuola, and Alhaja Adeniran of Mutlad Oil and Gas, all of whom expressed their admiration for Iyalode Adeen’s selflessness and dedication to uplifting the less fortunate.
