Oyo State Gubernatorial Hopeful under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Engineer Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe alongside some party chieftains and supporters paid a condolence visit to the Opadoyin villa, the Ogbomoso home of the late former governor of Oyo state Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala who passed on Wednesday 12th January 2022.
Tegbe, and others were received by the late governor’s widow Oluwakemi; Son, Honorable Olamiju Alao-Akala, Senator Brimoh-Yussuf, Hon Lawal and other members of the Akala political family.
Expressing how shocking the news of Akala’s demise was, Tegbe described the late former governor as a leader whoa contributions and development are noteworthy.
He said “I was utterly shocked by the sad news. The contributions, developments and accomplishments of Otunba, as a governor and leader of the party are noteworthy. I recollect how jolly he was when he hosted my wife and I, recently.
“The Akala family, the good people of Ogbomoso and Oyo state at large are in our prayers.”
Engineer Tegbe was also at the palace of the Soun of Ogbomosho to confer with the family of late Soun Ajagungbade on the preparations for the 40 Days Fidau prayers.
