The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Seun Fakorede has announced the nomination and selection process for the award categories of the maiden awards celebration for Oyo state youths.
Recall that, Oyo Mind earlier reported the intention of the state government to recognize youths who are doing well in different sphere of lives.
In a guide released by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Oyo Youths Award (OYA) 2021 Nomination and Selection process include, Call for nomination, Collation and sorting of nomination, verification and confirmation of works, shortlisting of nominees, nominees are contested and most released, confirming nominees through voting stage, Central working committees review amd record winners, winners announced at the award ceremony.
The available award categories are: Oyo State Awards for Acting, advocacy, agribusiness, arts, community service, education, entrepreneurship, fashion, film, governance, health and wellness, hospitality, intrapreneurship, journalism, Literature, music, new media, on air personality, photography, science, sports, technology, tourism, service to younger People and the Governor Seyi Makinde Corps Member of the Year, Governor Seyi Makinde Student of the Year, and the Young Person of The year awards
Fakorede in press release called on youths who have made an impact in their chosen career who fall into the categories mentioned to prepare for nomination which can be done by self or third party.
“If you know anyone who has made remarkable contributions and impact in their career path within these categories in Oyo State, get ready to nominate because nominations begin next week and yes, you can nominate yourself”.
