The Oyo state All Progressive Congress is set to select new party Executive in the states tomorrow after series of postponement.
“Whether through consensus or congress, the outgoing chairman of the All Progressives Congress m, APC, in Oyo State, Akin Oke, will have a successor tomorrow”, said an APC Party Chieftain while speaking with Oyo Mind.
The quartet of Abu Gbadamosi, Yekinni Abolade, Ajiboye Omodewu and Dele Akinyele are expected to be among the candidates to succeed Mr. Akin Oke as Oyo APC chair.
OYO Mind learnt on Friday afternoon that two other persons have joined the race.
This is coming as stakeholders within the party after a close to three hours meeting at the Oke-Ado secretariat agreed to allow peace to reign.
Members of the party from the 33 local government areas will file out at the Liberty Stadium, now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium.
Lawal Gambo, chairman of the congress, confirmed this when he spoke with journalists shortly after the meeting.
He also revealed that he has submitted the ward and local government delegates’ list to the outgoing chairman of the party in the presence of all stakeholders.
