The Agbaoye of Ibadan Land, High Chief Orikolade Karim has congratulated Ibadan high chief and former Governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his attainment of the Otun Olubadan title.
Agbaoye Karim described the High chief as a statesman, astute leader and a man of excellent character whose antecedents remain impeccable in government, Ibadan traditional institution and Nigeria at large.
He writes “Our Otun chieftaincy title is the highest position in the civil line which has been producing Olubadan over the decades, sequel to the vacancy of an Otun on March 11, 2022, when Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli-Okumade II assumed office following the demise of the 41st Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1, it is customarily right for the next in line to fill position and we’re pleased to have Baba assume position. I congratulate Baba and every other notable chiefs elevated to exalted positions in Ibadan land and wish everyone success in their new positions, progress in Ibadan land and Oyo state”.
He concluded by wishing Olubadan continuous peaceful reign and development of Ibadan land.
