Today marked a momentous occasion as Alhaja Chief Bolade Aderibigbe, the esteemed Iyalode Adeen of Yourbaland, celebrated her 80th birthday with a series of heartwarming events in Ibadan.
The day began with a spiritual touch as the celebrant and her well-wishers congregated at Bodija housing mosque to offer Jumat prayers. The serene atmosphere was filled with prayers of gratitude and blessings for the celebrant’s life and tireless efforts in supporting the less privileged.
Following the prayers, the festivities shifted to celebrant’s residence located in Ibadan.
Dignitaries from various spheres of life graced the birthday celebration to honor the remarkable woman known for her philanthropy and compassion. Among the prominent personalities present were Prof Babatunde Salako, a distinguished figure from the Institute of Medical Research Center at the University of Ibadan and former provost of the University College Hospital. His presence added academic prestige to the gathering, acknowledging the impact Iyalode Adeen has had on the community.
Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, eloquently spoke on behalf of the Aare Muslim in Council, praising Iyalode Adeen’s dedication to charitable causes and lauding her as a role model for others to emulate.
The celebration gained further importance with the attendance of the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele. Her presence symbolised the recognition of Iyalode Adeen’s contributions beyond the borders of Ibadan and underscored the significance of her philanthropic endeavors in promoting a better society.
