The Leader of All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, and one of the Gubernatorial aspirants, Chief Adeniyi Akintola earlier today attended the flag-off of the reconstruction Omi-Adio-Ido Road.
Makinde whose campaign train was in Ido Local Government for his campaign flagged off the reconstruction of the road.
Akintola has however remained committed to his words not to ever support Senator Teslim Folarin who he said hijacked the party structure from others.
Chief Akintola a Senior Advocate of Nigeria had since declared his support for Bola Tinubu as his preferred candidate for presidency and Governor Seyi Makinde as his gubernatorial candidate.
According to him, all his supporters in Ibadan Ibadan, Oke Ogun and Oyo Zones have defected to PDP to support the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde while those in Ogbomoso went to Accord.
Teslim Folarin had paid a courtesy call to Chief Akintola’s residence in Ibadan few weeks ago to beg him and have him changed his mind but Akintola told him point blank that he is a man of his words.
Today, Akintola joined Governor Seyi Makinde to flag-off the reconstruction of Omi Adio-Ido Road to further demonstrate that on Makinde’s Mandate he stands.
This latest move according to findings by this online news platform showed uneasy calm in the camp of the gubernatorial candidate of the major opposition party in Oyo State.
