The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2023 Oyo State governorship election, Teslim Folarin, is currently in a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at his private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The three term Senator is one of the major contenders for the governorship race in 2027.
Folarin is the fifth prominent figure from Oyo State to meet with the President, following the Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja; Oyo South Senator, Sharafadeen Alli; the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade; and former First Lady and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Florence Ajimobi.
As with previous visits by key figures from the state, details of the meeting remain undisclosed as of press time.
However, the development is widely believed to be connected to the evolving political landscape in Oyo State.
