Oyo State Government under the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration has taken full possession of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH, which was jointly owned by Oyo and Osun states.
This is contained in a statement made during a media briefing by the Executive Secretary
of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Professor Abubakar Rasheed.
According to Professor Rasheed, the College of Health Sciences in Osogbo has also been ceded to the Osun State government.
“Both Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Adegboyega Oyetola signed a memorandum of Agreement to the development.”
The NUC boss expressed optimism that the new arrangement would restore peace to LAUTECH.
