Following the demise of the former Governor of Oyo state, Otunba Christopher Also Akala, the incumbent Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde has visited the residence of the former Governor and Police Chief in Ogbomoso.
Makinde, who was received by the immediate, extended family and political associates of the deceased has Makinde promise State Burial and lowering of the Flag at half mast as a sign of homage to the late Chief.
Alao Akala, a former governor of Oyo State between 2007-2011 was announced dead on Wednesday 12th January, 2022.
He also eulogized His Excellency has a person who will “be remembered for his contributions to the development of Oyo State as Governor, especially for taking infrastructural development to other zones of the state outside Ibadan”.
Late Chief Akala’s demise has received huge publicity with many politicians and statemen paying condolence visit and homage to the one time Governor of the Pace Setter state.
