The former Governor of Oyo State and the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja has opened up on the hearsays surrounding who the next Olubadan is.
Ladoja made this clarification when he received visitors at his Bodija residence when he said the Otun Olubadan, Lekan Balogun is the next in line to succeed late Oba Saliu Adetunji.
OYOMIND recalls that, Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Ogunguniso 1 joined his ancestors on Sunday, 2nd January 2022.
Appealing for calm the high chief stated that “Uninformed people are just causing unnecessary tensions in Ibadan. There is no controversy about who becomes the next Olubadan after the demise of Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Ogunguniso 1”, OYOINSIGHT reports.
The Osi Olubadan further clarified that he had no hand in the letter written by an Ibadan-born lawyer and former justice commissioner, Barr. Michael Lana.
Yesterday, 10 of the high chiefs, met at Mapo and endorsed Balogun as Olubadan-elect. Only Ladoja was absent.
