The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has described as untrue news that election in Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency has been completed.

The commission’s spokesperson, Mr. Olayiwola Awolowo said “the election in Oluyole and Ibadan North East/South East federal constituencies remain inconclusive,” adding that no date has been fixed for a rescheduled polls in the affected polling units.

OYOMIND.COM.NG recalls that INEC has declared the election inconclusive as election in three polling units were far more than the margin between Agboworin and APC’s Adedapo Lam-Adesina.

But Abass Agboworin, incumbent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had early Tuesday morning posted a message on his Facebook page, claiming victory.

Though he didn’t put the result, Agboworin in the statement by his media aide, had said he won the February 25 election.

In a chat with Lam-Adesina, he said nothing like that happened that the election was declared inconclusive and was awaiting further directive on the date of the rescheduled polls from INEC.
