The House of Representatives Member, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe on Tuesday, December 8 2020, reunited an Oyo state Indigene, who repatriated from Oman to Nigeria, with her family.
According to Hon. Tolulope, the affected person who was repatriated to the country through the Muritala Muhammed international airport, Adunni Nafisat Oseni, is a member of her constituency. She further said the victim was denied the opportunity to return home by her employers, until her office intervened.
The returnee was also said to have willingly submitted herself to be repatriated back to Nigeria due to the inhumane situation she and many others were subjected to in Oman.
Akande-Sadipe who commended NAPTIP for its good work and synergy with relevant agencies however, lamented the unfortunate and inhumane experiences of Nigerians in some Arab countries.
She pledged the committment of the 9th Assembly to a total fight against human trafficking offenders in the Nation, by enacting stricter laws against them.
