The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially unveiled its new leadership structure in Ibadan North West Local Government Area, reaffirming its growing presence and signaling a renewed push for grassroots mobilization ahead of future elections.
At the well-attended event, Hon. Bashiru Rasheed Babatunde (BBR), the party’s 2023 State Assembly candidate for Ibadan North West, welcomed the ADC State Executive Council, led by the State Chairman, Hon. Yinka Olona. The delegation also included the State Public Relations Officer, Barrister Bimpe Adelowo, and other state officials who came to formally inaugurate the new local government leadership.
As part of the unveiling, Hon. Hussein Ismail was introduced as the Acting Chairman of ADC in Ibadan North West, while Hon. Mrs. Hawa Balogun was named the Local Government Leader.
In his remarks, Hon. BBR urged party members to stay courageous and united as the ADC positions itself for future political victories. “Let us be of good courage,” he said. “This is how it starts. We are the ones who will produce the next President, the next Governor, and the next House of Representatives member from Ibadan North. What will help us is unity, let’s be one.”
Hon. Yinka Olona, Barr. Bimpe Adelowo, Hon. Hussein Ismail, and Hon. Hawa Balogun all expressed their optimism about the ADC’s growing influence in the local government, noting that the new leadership reflects the party’s readiness to contest and win elections at all levels in Oyo State.
