The Federation of Oyo State Students Union (FOSSU), Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, Ilorin has honored a former Executive member, Federation of Ibadan Students Union, FIBSU, National Council, Comrade Arewa Oladipupo Abiodun.
The Award of Recognition was presented to appreciate his immense contribution towards the indigenous association in the school.
According to Comrade Afolabi Sodiq, the Executive Adviser of the union who presented the award on behalf of the, Sen. Milano Oyindamola Toheeb, “Comrade Arewa has always been a pillar of support to FOSSU, Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter and that is why we deemed it fit to appreciate him.
“As the honour implies, Award of Recognition as the Most Supportive fellow to the union is enough to establish how we hold him in high esteem”.
Arewa, while receiving the award thanked the leadership of the union for counting him worthy of the honour.
He said “It is an honour to have received this award from the executive council of FOSSU, Kwara State Polytecnic Chapter.
“I want to sincerely thank you all for counting me worthy of this award, and I must say that this is a motivation for me to do more with this chapter and beyond.”
Arewa Oladipupo Abiodun served as Sports Director, Federation of Ibadan Students Union, National Council between 2016-2017.
