ENDSARS: Adelabu Fulfils Promise, Compensates Widows of Slain Officers with N2 Million

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2019 general election, Chief Bayo Adelabu on Thursday 29, April 2021 received and compensated the widows of the policemen who were killed during the EndSars crisis.

OYOMIND recalls that Adebayo Adelabu together with the Oyo State Commissioner of Police tour the police stations that were burnt during the End Sars protest after which he promised to rebuild them and also compensate the widows of the slain officers.

Bayo Adelabu commiserated with the wives of the late policemen over the incident, which he described as unfortunate.

According to him, the late officers had done so well for the government and necessary things should have been done since 7months ago. “I lost my father when I was at age four, I know how it feel to miss someone’s partner, God almighty will help in taking your burdens.

“Making this known to the media was not my aim but the commissioner said this should be done publicly and the society should be aware of it.

“There should be a direct scholarship for the deceases children, and a direct job for the their wives not to feel the absence of their husbands.”

Speaking doing the cash presentation, Hajia Iyabode Alliu the CEO of Khaliat Widow Care Centre mentioned that she’s also a widow that the responsibility on ground for them now is beyond what can be handle by them alone but through God involvement and philanthropists like Bayo Adelabu who do take care of the widow before and still doing more.

“I urge you all to use this money judiciously not for social purposes but for good business which can earn them profit to take care of their children” she said.

ALGON Chairman man, Hon Abass Alesinloye in his statement commended Chief Bayo Adelabu for his kind gesture towards the widows, “what he did today should have been done by the state government 7months ago but they ignored to do it.

“We should always endeavor to remember someone like him in our prayers to be bless by God for him to do more.”

One of the beneficiaries speaking with the pressmen appreciated Chief Bayo Adelabu for making it a point of duty and an act of philanthropism to remember them, she then prayed that God will provide for him abundantly.

Personalities in attendance were; Chief Mrs Seyi Adelabu, Abass Alesinloye, Hajia Iyabode Alliu, Chief Wasiu Ajimobi, Apostle Engr Adisa, Mr Wale Olatunji and other.
