A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State and the founder of Tegbe Foundation, Engr. Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe has distributed another batch of palliatives to people across the 33 local governments of the state.
The distribution, which is the 3rd since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the state coincides with the end of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-el Fitr celebration.
While congratulating Muslim Faithful on the completion of the Ramadan fast, Tegbe urged every citizen to continue praying for Nigeria and Oyo state in particular.
He said, “I congratulate all the Muslim faithful for the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan. May Allah answer all prayers. I urge all the people of Oyo state to continue to stay safe during this unprecedented period of COVID-19.
He noted that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected citizens economically and socially and this has prompted the move by the foundation to distribute food items across the state. The APC chieftain reiterated the importance of supporting the people of the state with food items as good nutrition improves individual immune system which is crucial in fighting the pandemic.
Over 5,000 benefitted from the distribution of these relief items.
