The Former ALGON chairman in Oyo state who also doubled as Former Irepo Local Government Chairman, Hon Yekeen Popoola has charged all indigenes and residents of Oyo to live in peace and harmony in the spirit of celebrating Easter.

Popoola made this call while sending his Easter message to all Christians in the state. He borrowed from the holy scripture, that the importance of the season teaches every Christian to show an exemplary life of Jesus on the cross of calvary to save mankind.

In his words, The holy spirit has taught us that if people of different faith, tribes and languages come together in unity and pray to God with sincere supplication, especially during the time of agony and disappointment, the heavenly Father always listen to people’s yearning and grant their requests.

He continued that ”development, peace of mind and success can only be guaranteed in peaceful co-existence of all in the state. In fact government business too only strives within a conducive environment, so I appeal to everyone in Oyo state to let us live in peace and harmony.”

“I advise we use this period Easter celebrations to reflect on the lessons of this moment for the promises of Almighty God to come to reality in our lives, Oyo state and the country as a whole.”
