Copacapana Chairman, Ajibola Hails Dotun Sanusi’s Installation as Okanlomo Odua

Chief Ahmed Ajibola, Chairman of the Copacapana Group of Companies, has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on his installation as the Okanlomo Odua of Yorubaland.

The ceremony, held on Thursday in Ile-Ife, conferred on Sanusi one of the respected titles in the Yoruba chieftaincy hierarchy.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), presided over the installation, which drew traditional rulers, business leaders, and invited guests from across the Southwest.

Chief Sanusi, who also holds the title of Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, was recognised for his contributions to economic development, youth empowerment, and cultural advancement.

His Ilaji Resort in Akanran, Ona Ara Local Government, has become a major tourism destination and a centre for sports, hospitality, and community development.

In a statement, Chief Ajibola described Sanusi as a pillar of progress whose work has strengthened both the business and cultural landscape of Oyo State.

He said Sanusi’s rise from modest beginnings to building one of the region’s most successful hospitality brands reflects dedication, vision, and an enduring commitment to public good.

Sanusi recently marked his 56th birthday, during which he received similar tributes for his philanthropic work and his role in promoting tourism and cultural heritage.

Chief Ajibola added that the Copacapana Group looks forward to deeper cooperation with Ilaji Resort to boost tourism and create more opportunities for young people across Oyo State.
