In the history of Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu stands out as the first and only Senator to have taken her constituents to the National Assembly for a firsthand understanding of legislative proceedings.

Her notable gesture, alongside other commendable actions during her tenure representing the people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, deeply impressed me and solidified my support for her. Senator Sunmonu is among the rare breed of politicians who prioritize human development and believe in rewarding political supporters in the present rather than promising rewards in the afterlife. She tirelessly ensures that loyalty and dedication are duly recognized and rewarded.

It’s no surprise that her followers continually share testimonials of her impact and l am a living example. Under Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu’s leadership, her school of thought has produced numerous state honorables, local government chairmen, councilors, supervisors, and special advisers. Without exaggeration, she has etched her name in gold in Nigeria’s political history.

Learning about her accolades as an award-winning speaker in the Oyo State House of Assembly during Senator Ajimobi’s administration, and later as the Senator for Oyo Central Senatorial District, fills me with joy. Senator Sunmonu is an exemplary leader and respected politician, adorned with a crown of wisdom. She remains a transformative figure, illuminating the lives of many.

As you celebrate another year on this earth, I want to express my heartfelt wishes for you. Sixty-five looks exceptionally good on you, and I pray for many more years filled with grace and blessings. Happy birthday, ma’am. Age with grace.
