BreakTheBias: Oyo State Government Celebrates International Women’s Day

The Oyo State Government Ministry of the Youth and Sports has celebrated 20 Oyo State women who #BreakTheBias on the occasion of the 2022 International Women’s Day.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable (Engr.) Seun Fakorede in his address said, “I join women globally to #BreakTheBias and #DeliverTheTruth about the misconceptions of women in the workplace and our society generally”.

“We’ve experienced first hand how the women in the Oyo State Government Cabinet – from the SSG, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, to the HOS, Mrs. Ololade Amidat Agboola, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Alhaja Olayiwola Kafilat Omolabake, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Alhaja Faosat Sanni, the DG BPP, Madam Tara Adefope continue to inspire us in their unique ways, bringing fresh new perspectives and order that enable the government function better”.

He continued, “Today, to commemorate the #InternationalWomensDay, the Oyo State Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports has chosen the faces of 20 Oyo State Women to represent all our women who #BreakTheBias and continue to do exploits in their respective fields.

Among the celebrated women included, Adejoke Adewusi, Adejoke Lasisi, Adenike Adeniyi, Bola Obatuyi, Edem Ossai, Karimot Odebode, Kemi Irinoye, Kiekie, Lawal Rofiat, Mimisola Daniels, Olagbaju Oluwatooni, Olamide Ojo-Philips, Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Oteniara Makeovers, Ololade MLPro, Sade Blaq, Ololade Ajibola, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, Tiwa Adegbenro, Sarah Adegoke.
