Goods worth several millions of naira were on Monday destroyed during a fire incident that occurred at Agbeni Market in Ibadan.
Oyo Mind gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of the day. It was gathered that the incident occurred at the Jamoje compound in Agbeni market.
Traders in the market reportedly made several efforts to put out the fire to no avail.
About four shops were affected by the inferno before help came.
Sources told our Correspondent that goods worth millions of naira were destroyed before the fire was extinguished.
Head of Oyo state fire service, Mr. Mashood Adewuyi, confirmed the incident explaining that the fire was noticed in the early hours of the day.
