The All Progressive Congress, Oyo state Chapter has announced the results of the election of the new Executive council members to succeed Chief Akin Oke.
In the keenly contested Chairmanship position of the party, the Newly emerged Chairman, Honourable Isaac Omodewu alongside his Deputy, Alhaji Olaide Moshood Abass.
Other newly elected members included, Hon. Mojeed Olaoya, Oyo Federal Senatorial Chairman, Mr. Joshua Oyebamiji Atiku. The State Secretary emerged was, Prince Tajudeen Lannipe, The state woman Leader, Alhaja Sijuade Adigun, the State legal Adviser, Abdul Salam Muhammed Deji.
Akin Akinwale as Oyo Senatorial Youth Leader, Fatima Hassan as Oyo South Senatorial Women Leader, Other appointed excecutive are: Aremu John Oyetunji, Alhaji Busari.
The election which was held at the former Liberty stadium, now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium after the peace meeting that held yesterday alongside the former Chairman and stakeholders in the party.
Recalled that, various issues and challenges has hampered the conduction of the APC’s State Congress, months after the violence-ridden Wards and Local Government’s Congress.
