Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS in collaboration with Ambiance Media Limited and Ministry of Youth and Sports have partnered to organize an all inclusive fitness event in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The Memorandum of Understanding, MoU for the maiden edition of the athletic fiesta tagged “Ere Ije Ibadan 2022” was mutually signed by the partnering teams on Thursday at the VIP lounge of the BCOS, Bashorun Ibadan.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Coordinator of the event, Mr. Adebayo George said Ambiance Media settled for the choice of Ibadan due to her uncommon tourist attractions in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to him, we want to bring the entire world to Ibadan, showcasing the ancient and recent tourist heritage and beauties of the city including but not limited to Cocoa House, Mapo Hall, Liberty Stadium, Adamasingba Stadium, Agodi Gardens, Bower Towers and many others.
He emphasized that hosting of the competition slated for March next year would stimulate the social and economic fortunes of the city with lot of interests and attentions to be attracted globally.
The Chairman of the BCOS, Prince Dotun Oyelade in his remark applauded the Ambiance Media team for the unique concept and partnership of the station for the event.
He said the station keyed into the maiden programme as part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities so as to partake in the youth and social development.
Present at the occasion were Mrs. Olubisi Adegoke, the Director of Sports Administration from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mrs. Omolade Adesokan, the Managing Director, Ambiance Media Limited and other notable members from all the partnering groups.
