A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Oyo State, Engineer Ayodeji Karim has showered encomium on a foremost National leader of the party and a two time Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 69th birthday celebration.
In a statement made available to OYOMIND, Ayodeji, a philanthropist who hails from Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State described “Jagaban Borgue” as Asiwaju is fondly called as a patriotic leader who has a distinct success in raising quality leaders who are pro Democracy.
The statement reads thus:
“There is much more to being a patriot than reciting the anthem or holding a flag ( Jesse Ventura), patriots are those with unique loyalty and promotion of their country’s good even when it involves overwhelming sacrifices, in the words of Abraham Lincoln, “gold is good in its place but loving, brave and patriotic men are better than gold”, this explains why the Icon Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves all the accolades and celebration he has and will receive from Nigerians, Africans and the world.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who exemplifies leadership as a two time governor of Lagos with a workable masterplan upon which Lagos development thrives for more than a decade has always been a lover and defendant of democracy even at the peak of military junta. The Icon Bola Ahmed Tinubu holds a distinct success in raising quality leaders who are pro democracy and nation building, he has done much and deserves to do more.
