Siwes Boys further describes some new level of docile supporters who think through the information at their WhatsApp group disposal, lacking in depth mental reasoning and logical analysis. Else, how do you explain their jubilant status for an obvious judgment that favors ALGON.

Dear Siwes, before you jump on the comment section pls, read till the end 🙏

Think outside your WhatsApp group for once and I’m not even sure GSM is still a member though. In case you haven’t heard:

The Supreme Court fined Oyo State government with a sum of N20 million for perpetrating illegality/impunity.

All dissolved council chairmen and councillors to receive their full salaries and allowances up till March 2022, this has never happened before, it was only salaries that were paid in Ekiti and Delta cases, unlike the Siwes boys narrative that it was the same as the out of court settlement (agreement) proposed by Gov Seyi Makinde to ALGON. No it wasn’t.

Attorney General of Oyo State was given till August 7, 2021 to ensure the state government’s compliance. Setting a deadline of payment is unprecedented, if you ask me.

The most irritating angle is the huge impact this verdict will bring on the state finances. The impunity of the state government is on a new level and Oyo state will only suffer for it because the governor will have to pay ALGON then go ahead to pay the illegal caretakers too, at least they are still illegal until the next LG election. Now we have a case of the governor paying two workers for the same job, that’s not being financially savvy if you ask me.

But that’s no one to judge because no matter the level of financial profligacy we unravel in the state resources in Oyo state, many docile supporters will always fail to discern. Mental incapacitation, not my field to offer a remedy.

In all these Oyo State is the loser because the Governor will not pay the fine from his pockets, but from the state’s treasury. The Governor will pay for redundancy of LG officials from the state’s repository. Sadly, you and I will also be affected too. Amid the economic meltdown from #Covid19, banditry, kidnapping, ghost workers and religion intolerance. Now we have to pay local government executives twice.

May God continue bless Oyo State
