The ardent, committed and loyal followers, supporters, lovers and well wishers of the late former Ibadan North Federal Rep., Hon. Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban) under the group, Akinremi Legacy Forum has reconvened their monthly meeting, which is a gathering in honor of the late people-focused lawmaker who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency between the years 2019 to 2024.
This meeting which held yesterday, Tuesday 23rd September 2025 at the usual venue, Prince Akinremi Jagaban Hall, Samonda Ibadan, had over 300 dedicated members in attendance with the Akinremi Family Head, Chief Abideen Abiodun Akinremi present to address all members. Also present for coordination and moderation as it has always been were members of the Akinremi Think Tank, which comprises the trusted personal aides and confidants of late Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban. The Vice Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Akeem Ayoade also attended the meeting and addressed all members.
According to the Head of Media, Akinremi Legacy Forum, Michael Adegbayi said, the meeting was an avenue to appreciate all members for their long-standing and unwavering commitment to the Akinremi course while he was alive, and since over one year that he transited to the great beyond. It was also a meeting to keep them updated on new directions which the Akinremi Legacy Forum has already begun to take starting with the decision to commence registration process of the body as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), and to continue functioning as such in meeting the needs of the forum’s teeming members.
Clearly, the Akinremi Legacy Forum is an independent body and not an appendage of any political party. The forum recognizes and associates with individuals and organizations who identifies with it, shares the same vision with it and prioritizes the general welfare of the masses. Membership of the forum isn’t limited to one political party but it is spread across, and even encompasses people who aren’t card carrying members of any political party. This is as a result of the open door politics and representation which late Hon. Olaide Akinremi exemplified.
The meeting was also an opportunity to unveil to members that finishing touches are being made to some of the landmark projects Hon. Olaide Akinremi facilitated, with their commissioning and handing over slated for immediate occurrence in a matter of days.
Some members who were opportune to make comments commended Chief Abiodun Akinremi and all members of Akinremi’s Think Tank for ensuring an endearing and enduring legacy exists and remains standing till date in honor of late Hon. Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban), while also earnestly praying that God Almighty continues to bless and rest his soul.
