2023: Accord Reps Candidate Ajanaku Promises Constituents, Commissions Water Project

The House of Representatives candidate of Accord in Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency of Oyo state – Rotimi Ajanaku, has promised to use his wealth of experience as an industrialist to promote bills that will enhance sustainable food production, youth engagement and uncompromised security network in Nigeria Immediately his voted to the green chamber of the national assembly by the people of his constituency.

While speaking with journalists after commissioning of a water project in memory of his late mother, Mama victoria olakitan Ajanaku in Akako; a community within Odo Ona, Ward 12, Ibadan Southwest Local Government where he had his early life. Ajanaku reminiscent on how water had always be an issue around the area and how this project will provide succour to the people of the neighborhood and its environs just like his late mother had always provide assistance to many households in the neighborhood through her pharmacy store and nursing profession.

Prior to the commissioning of the water project, Ajanaku had earlier attended a town hall meeting organised by the stakeholders and community development associations within Ward 12 of Ibadan Southwest local government.

The town hall meeting was organised to allow people of ward 12 and professional bodies within Odo Ona which is the home base of Ajanaku to express their expectation when he becomes member of house of representatives in the national assembly. This event really went fine as all in attendance applauded Ajanaku who responded positively to all questions asked.

Having satisfied with his manifestos, the leadership of accord political party, as well as leaders of community and professional associations within the ward pledged their loyalty and willingness to mobilize their people for his victory in the coming February 25th election to the green chamber.

Meanwhile, youths in Odo Ona areas also came out in their hundreds under Odo Ona Youth Organization to interact with their candidate on what their expectations are and also expressed their readiness to rally support for their candidate, Rotimi Ajanaku, whom they described as one of them and someone who understand their needs in the area and the federal constituency at large.

Speaking further, the president of the group, Mr. Solomon Ogunbode said, “we have strong believe that Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku will not disappoint us like those before him did. Otunba is one of us, he is a wonderful philanthropist with outstanding antecedents in job creation, youth development and promotion of agriculture and education. We have no doubt, he will be a good representatives.”

In his response, Ajanaku appreciates the youth for their support and promised to promote bills that will encourage sustainable food production, youth engagements in Agriculture and other lucrative vocations as well as uncompromised security networks that will encourage farmers safety. He retreated his desire to have the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training IAR&T, Moor plantation Ibadan upgraded as a full fledge University of Agriculture and Technology. He believe achieving this will not only boost the economy of the host community and local government but the state at large.
